The Alexandrite Laser produces a red beam of light which is mainly absorbed by melanin (the hair pigment) and causes thermal damage to the hair shaft and follicle, without damaging the surrounding tissues. The hair follicle is destroyed and the dark end hair is permanently removed.
Until now, hair removal was done with traditional hair removal techniques, waxing, shaving and with lasers that produced pulsed light and had the effect of simply removing the hair for a temporary period such as 10 days. Even the electrolysis technique that can permanently destroy the hair involves inserting a needle into each follicle as well as passing an electric current to it. It is a more painful procedure than the laser and particularly time-consuming as only small areas can be treated in one session and numerous sessions are necessary in a short period of time.
The use of Alexandrite Lasers by our specialized medical staff is safe, effective and easy and allows the treatment of large areas during one session. After just one session the improvement is often evident, while after repeated sessions the best possible result is achieved.
BEFORE THE LASER TREATMENT
Avoid tanning in the area to be waxed. Tanned skin (by sunbathing or by artificial means – solarium and self-tanning products) reduces the effectiveness of the laser and increases the possibility of adverse reactions and we may refuse you the application.

Many pharmaceutical or cosmetic products (RETINOL.AHA. VIT.C etc.) cause photosensitivity and other unwanted reactions, such as dehydration, so they must be avoided before laser application.
Indicative:

NO BODY PEEELING before laser treatment. On the contrary, exfoliation with a loofah sponge 4 days before laser application is indicated for
removal of dead cells from the epidermis. -
NO USE OF BODY CREAM, GLITTER or BODY OIL on the exact day of the treatment. You should thoroughly wash the area to be waxed (face, genital area, etc.) before coming to the clinic.
Before the first application of the laser you should:
SHAVED AREAS (RAZOR or DEMORATION CREAM) 3 DAYS BEFORE.
We want 2-3mm hair.
NOT PRECEDED BY WAX or SILK EPIL or HAIR DYING CREAM (eg oxycream) FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS
